30 Day Poetry Challenge

National Poetry Writing Month, 2014

Inaugurated by the Academy of American Poets in 1996, National Poetry Month is now held every April, when schools, publishers, libraries, booksellers, and poets throughout the United States band together to celebrate poetry and its vital place in American culture

according to Poetry.org.

In honor of this auspicious time when Americans remember the significance of poetry in creating our American artistry, I am taking the 30 Day Poetry Challenge, and will write a poem a day for the next 30 days.  I hope you will visit my page this month, where I will publish a poem each day (I hope).
